Retired MLB outfielder, Sammy Sosa has been in the news recently due to a noticeable change in his skin color. His pale skin has many speculating that he is receiving a similar cosmetic treatment to that of the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
“He is going through a rejuvenation process for his skin,” Chicago Cubs employee Rebecca Polihronis told the Chicago Tribune. “He was surprised he came out looking so white.”
Sosa, 40, was photographed showing his skin obviously paler than normal on Nov. 4 at an awards event in Las Vegas, leading to questions as to whether he he may have Vitiligo.
Some suspected his lighter complexion is tied to purported steroid use. Sosa was reportedly included in a list of 103 players who failed a voluntary drug test in 2003.
Polihronis insisted the camera added 10 units of brightness.
“People who saw him in person did not react the same way. He can’t believe it is such a big deal,” she said. “He is not trying to be Michael Jackson.”

Celebrity chef, Gordon Ramsay admits he has had cosmetic surgery on his chin. The New York Post reports that his decision to go under the knife comes a year after his publicist laughed off reports that the Hell’s Kitchen chef had any work done. Apparently Ramsay had a change of heart.
“Simon Cowell suggested that, now I’m a success in America, I should do something, so I had a filler put under the deep crevices,” he tells new issue of British weekly Radio Times. “It hurt.”
“My mother said they were smile lines,” he told Radio Times. “I could deal with that at 21, but not at 42.”
Ramsay used the popular injectable filler Restylane, which is commonly to plump up deep crevices.
MEXICO CITY – Alejandra Guzman, a popular Mexican rock singer, reports she has been hospitalized with an infection as a result of buttocks injections she had in order to make herself “more beautiful.”
Guzman, who frequently used the clinic for cosmetic procedures without incident, blames the infection on a new director hired by the clinic.
Authorities arrested the director based on other clients’ claims that they suffered complications, Guzman told Televisa.
Prosecutors told Reforma newspaper the director had no cosmetology degrees, only a high school diploma.
Guzman, a Latin Grammy winner with an extensive following in the U.S., said she now wants to raise awareness about cosmetic procedures so other women don’t suffer.
Holly Madison recently appeared in Life & Style Magazine. She told the magazine, “Yeah, I had my boobs and nose done, now look at me! I can shimmy across a Vegas stage topless with confidence!”
“Growing up, the last thing Holly expected was to be flat-chested,” the article’s “Cinderella story” section reports.
“While that didn’t stop her from becoming head cheerleader, she says she often flipped through Playboy magazine and dreamed of being a curvy pinup one day.”
Looks like dreams do come true.
Holly decided to get surgery only after moving into the Playboy Mansion. “Living with Hef brought down my self-esteem a lot,” she says. “I was comparing myself to the other girls. Hef always said he didn’t want me to get anything done.”
She did have the realization though after surgery that “Beauty is on the inside. Looks don’t define you—they’re just a tool to get what you want.”
She’ll plans to tour school sharing that message.
Gerard Butler, star of the movies 300 and Gamers, looks like a natural to me. I believe that he has obtained his fat burning, ripped body by himself with hard work and diet.
However. it’s no secret that many men are turning to some form of cosmetic surgery to try to have a physique as perfect as Gerald Butler.
Two of the most common procedures for men wanting the “ripped” look are liposuction and male pec implants. With liposuction, a surgeon can remove excess fat using any number of technologies, including tumescent liposuction, laser liposuction such as SmartLipo.
Liposculpture is a cosmetic surgery technique used to define abdominal muscles. The procedure offers quick recovery with minimal swelling and downtime. The side effects and risks are minimal, but can include infection. It is best to consult with a qualified liposuction doctor.
Male pec implants offer a quick step to nicely-built pectoral muscles. This procedure is similar to breast implants in women, except that the male pec implant is a more solid silicone product. By design, the implant supplies a man’s chest with a masculine shape, firmness and size.
However, Male pec implant surgery carries some risk. Recovery can take as long as six weeks, and the patient can experience soreness and implant shifts, as well as risk infections. To minimize the chance of complications with any cosmetic surgery procedure, prospective patients should always look for a doctor who is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
To me there is only one Gerald Butler, though. His personality and inner beauty as well as his phenomenal body make him the total package.
Demi Moore denies she’s had hundreds of thousands of dollars in plastic surgery.
Moore recently responded to some unbelievable comments people have made by Twittering Monday night. She admits that having her three daughters has left her with stretch marks and extra skin.
Moore replied to a person who claimed that Moore could not go from stretch marks and saggy skin, once seen in an old paparazzi shot taken of her at the beach, to the beautiful body she now has.
“I still have excess skin & stretch marks!”
When someone responded to that remark with disbelief, saying she did not, Moore followed up with, “Ahh hate to break it to you but I do. Comes with having a few kids 4 some of us!”
Before her recent twitter comments, a few days earlier Moore, 46, gave an interview in which she denied having anything done, stating:
‘It’s completely false – I’ve never had it done,’ said Moore, adding: ‘But I would never judge those who have. If it’s the best thing for them, then I don’t see a problem.
‘On the other hand, I don’t like the idea of having an operation to hold up the ageing process – it’s a way to combat your neurosis. The scalpel won’t make you happy…
‘That said, the day when I start crying when I look at myself in the mirror might be the day when I’m less adamant about not having it done. For the moment I prefer to be a beautiful woman of my age than try desperately to look 30.’
