Mesotherapy in the hands of a qualified specialist is a relatively safe procedure. Mesotherapy uses a combination of traditional and homeopathic medicine and vitamins which are are injected into the area being treated. Common area of treatment include the chin, buttocks, thighs, abdomen and arms. Read about mesotherapy side effects.

Mesotherapy has been featured on such television shows as 48 Hours, The View, 20/20, and in national newspapers such as The Washington Post, The New York Times, and USA Today, as well as many woman’s magazines including People Magazine, W Magazine, Allure, Elle, among others.

Mesotherapy has been used for bodysculpting as an alternative to liposuction. Mesotherapy can shrink belly fat, double chins, saddlebags and bra bulge. For some it is a reasonable alternative to surgery to shrink fat underneath the eyes. As a cellulite treatment mesotherapy has no peers. Cottage cheese and dimpling fade away. Many believe mesotherapy to be far, far superior to endermology or any laser treatment.

Facial mesotherapy using vitamins and hyaluronic acid can create glow and really rejuvenate. In many instances the Mesolift or Mesoglow can be performed two or three days BEFORE your daughter’s or grand daughter’s wedding for a healthy radiant glow. (Even the Bride can be treated!)

You will be surprised to learn that mesotherapy is not a new procedure. It has actually been performed in Europe for over 50 years. It was developed by the French physician Michel Pistor, M.D. to treat a variety of health ailments. Over the course of time, his colleagues in both Europe and South America discovered the mesotherapy was amazingly effective in handling cosmetic problems formally confined to the field of plastic and cosmetic surgery.

With the explosion in awareness about cosmetic enhancement many people are looking for a kinder, gentler way. Less is more. Mesotherapy seems to fit that bill.

Popular mesotherapy specialists include:

Douglas Day MD – Mesotherapy Portland
Roberta L Shepard-Mardocco NP -Mesotherapy Tucson
Jeylan T. El-Mansoury M.D. – Mesotherapy Philadelphia
Dwight Hiscox MD – Mesotherapy Los Angeles (Encino)

Kelly Clarkson Talks About Being Overweight

Kelly Clarkson Self Magazine

Retouched photo of Kelly Clarkson on the September 2009 Issue of Self Magazine

It is obvious that Kelly Clarkson has gained a substantial amount of weight since her days on American Idol, but that doesn’t seem to bother Kelly.

Clarkson admits that she has never been concerned with her weight, but a recent cover photo of Kelly on the September issue of Self magazine has been retouched to make Clarkson appear thinner.

Kelly speaks out stating, “Of course celebrities have cellulite!.

“When people talk about my weight, I’m like, ‘You seem to have a problem with it; I don’t. I’m fine!’,” Clarkson tells the September issue of Self.

Kelly also says, “My happy weight changes. Sometimes I eat more; sometimes I play more.”

As part of Clarkson’s exercise routine she plays golf (“I love it!”) as well as Crossfit workouts. “It’s like bootcamp!”, she states.

“You never work out more than 35 minutes, but it’s so intense … It makes me feel like G.I. Jane. It’s very empowering. I feel like I can whup ass!”

When Kelly exercises, it isn’t to lose weight. “I do it totally for my psyche,” she says. “I’m much better when those endorphins are going. It’s a release. And I also love food, so there’s a payoff!”

In regards to Kelly’s diet, “I love healthy stuff and junk an equal amount,” she tells Self magazine.

“Whatever I’m craving, I go for it.”

“For me, it’s the times when I’m not paying attention that I end up losing weight. But I’m never trying to lose weight – or gain it. I’m just being!”

Mesotherapy An Effective Cellulite Treatment (Mesotherapy Pictures)

Consumers are as interested as ever in using non surgical cosmetic procedures to improve their looks and self esteem. But with the rising cost of medical procedures, and the inability of most insurance companies to cover treatment, those who seek cosmetic procedures are turning from cosmetic surgery to alternative treaments  in order to achieve the results they seek. One popular treatment that has many people raving is known as mesotherapy.  The procedure has been around since the 1950s, but has grown most in popularity during the last decade. It is most often used to aid in weight loss, fat loss, cellulite treatment, spot treatment and to tighten aging skin, especially in the face, neck and hands.  Some people have even used mesotherapy to treat hair loss and to reduce the appearance of scars.

Mesotherapy falls into the specific category called homotoxicology, in which sickness is considered to be a natural defense against homotoxins, or toxic substances that invade the body in an attempt at ruining the body’s natural balance. With mesotherapy, an assortment of substances is injected into the mesoderm, the layer of skin just under the outer skin layer. These substances may include homeopathic medications, natural herbs, vitamins, minerals and amino acids. In the past several years, many new approaches to mesotherapy have been developed. These include popular programs such as MesoGlow, lipodissolve and MesoBoost.  While they all differ slightly in approach, each type of treatment still follows the main principles of mesotherapy.

Some mesotherapists use special equipment called mesotherapy injection guns. They are not nearly as frightening as the name may imply. Injection guns are handheld electric tools that utilize a system of tubes and needles. On one end of the injection gun is a sterilized needle that is attached to a tube filled with a solution of various vitamins, minerals and medications located at the other end of the injection gun.

Mesotherapy side effects include bruising at the site of injection and occasional nausea or headaches. Some people will feel ill during or after treatment in the same way that one may feel sick when getting a tattoo. In fact, the procedures are very similar, and mesotherapy is usually safer than receiving a tattoo since its practitioners are all licensed medical professionals. Other than bruising and the occasional nausea, there are usually minimal side effects to the treatment.

One important thing to keep in mind for those interested in using mesotherapy to eliminate fat: like any other treatment, fat loss will only have a lasting affect if the patient follows a healthy diet and exercise routine. Many people pay large sums of money for mesotherapy or other cosmetic treatments, expecting a miraculous return to their youthful figure without putting forth any effort. They are inevitably disappointed in the end. Mesotherapy does aid in reducing fat, but does not act as a shield against gaining fat in the future. This is why a mesotherapist will always advise patients seeking fat loss to begin eating healthier and to spend at least 5 hours a week exercising. These routines will substantially increase the benefits of mesotherapy.

Mesotherapy can be a very beneficial and inexpensive form of treatment for a host of ailments. Those interested should spend time researching the possible benefits and drawbacks of mesotherapy before making a decision and always consult with a qualified physician before undergoing any treatment.

Lipodissolve – An Alternative to Liposuction

lipo dissolveMany patients are turning to lipodissolve as an alternative to liposuction and other cosmetic surgery procedures. Lipodissolve as a fat removal treatment can accomplish something that many people have been trying to do for years. Women and men all over the world look into the mirror each day and wish they had some “magical” way to solve their weight issues. Lipodissolve has been compared to other successful treatments on the market but this particular treatment when administered properly, has been shown to have a higher success rate where results can last longer. The treatment involves a series of injections to the problem area to remove fat deposits. Most people when they wish to lose weight “magically” go to their cosmetic surgeon for liposuction, excess skin reductions, gastric bands etc. These types of treatments are invasive and require general anesthesia, which can pose a high risk for the patient. Lipodissolve may be the answer for some who do not wish to undergo surgery. The process is simple and quick to perform. You can be in and out during your lunch break at work! Imagine being able to drop a dress size over a very short amount of time, and all in your lunch hour! What an amazing thought! LipoDissolve seems to have achieved these results for many who have received this treatment.

For best results the treatment is usually completed in stages. Treatments are often spaced out over a period of time, with each treatment being given every 2 weeks. The treatments can be helpful if you have problems with your arms, legs, bottom, stomach and love handles. You may experience some slight bruising after each treatment but this is normal and is usually not a problem as these will fade over time. The amount of inches you lose in the treated areas differs from person to person but the results can be quite dramatic.

Lipodissolve compared to other similar treatments on the market is very competitive in cost. Each person who undergoes the treatment receives a personalized plan created for them by their doctor or specialist. The average price is approximately ½ the cost of liposuction and, like other cosmetic procedures, many doctors and specialists will offer credit options to help pay for your treatments.

Many lipo dissolve specialists are so confident of their results that some will actually offer a thirty day, money back guarantee if you do not see any results (measurable ones) after the full amount of treatments have been given. Again, this depends on the doctor or clinic offering the procedure.

Always consult with a lipodissolve doctor or expert before undergoing this procedure. It is important that you know all you know risks and side effects before undergoing any lipodissolve treatement.

Mesotherapy – How to Get Rid of Belly Fat

Most everyone would like an attractive slim and trim figure despite their age or gender. Nevertheless, one’s eating habits combined with stress and tension caused by a modern hectic lifestyle leads to the deposition of unwanted body fat. This not only increases one’s body weight but also spoils the shape of the body. The fat is deposited mostly in the lower parts of the body – the abdomen area, buttocks and thighs. The round and protruded belly gives an awkward look to one’s appearance. There are many types of treatments available for getting rid of the unwanted belly fat but mesotherapy is one of the best and fastest ways to get rid of it and regain an attractive appearance.

Mesotherapy treatment is the safest way of getting rid of belly fat because this treatment does not require any kind of surgical process. Moreover, mesotherapy treatment involves reduction of fat with the help of natural products so there is no fear of side effects. If you are suffering from the problem of belly fat and want to get rid of it without undergoing any type of surgery or disturbing your daily routine then the best option is to choose mesotherapy as you will be able to continue with your daily lifestyle while the treatment is going on. Mesotherapy treatment originated in France and has become so popular that now people all over the world prefer this treatment to get rid of the most common problem that is, belly fat.

In mesotherapy, an injection containing homeopathic medicines or medicines prepared from extracts of plants, vitamins, minerals, and amino acids injected in the mesoderm or the fatty layer under the skin. This helps to eradicate the fat deposits in a natural way. Mesotherapy also acts on the fiber of the connective tissues that have the tendency of trapping the fat cells and forming cellulite. Thus, there is more benefit than the simple procedure of fat reduction in mesotherapy. It not only melts the fat with the help of the injected medicines but also provides permanent results in the way of cellulite reduction. Mesotherapy is a painless process of quickly reducing belly fat, and patients should notice continued fat reduction after undergoing the second or third treatment.

Mesotherapy does not require recovery time. Injections are administered with local anesthesia and you will be able to continue with your daily routine from the moment you get the injections and come out of the treatment centre. Also, unlike other fat removal procedures, the natural fat decreasing process in mesotherapy does not leave pockets where fat can accumulate at later stages when the treatment period ends. Mesotherapy is the most affordable, time saving, and painless way of eliminating belly fat without having the ugly scars or marks on the skin normally left behind in other types of surgical methods.

What Is Mesotherapy?

Mesotherapy is still one of the most popular procedures for cellulite removal. Mesotherapy is a non surgical, natural way of targeting the fat layers under the skin. With mesotherapy, a qualified practitioner will use a needle to inject a natural solution just under the skin. This solution helps your body remove cellulite creating smoother skin. It can work on the arms, belly, chin, and  love handle. Mesotherapy helps your body to detoxify, since many of your toxins are stored in your fat cells.

Mesotherapy has been featured on television shows such as 48 Hours, The View, 20/20, and in national newspapers such as The Washington Post, The New York Times, and USA Today, as well as many woman’s magazines including People Magazine, W Magazine, Allure, Elle, among others.

With the explosion in awareness about cosmetic enhancement many people are looking for a kinder, gentler way.  Less is more.

Mesotherapy seems to fit that bill.

LipoBodySculpture of Houston Announces New Location

LipoBodySculpture of Houston – experts in Smartlipo, VASER lipo, and mesotherapy – have announced the opening of a new location, providing the perfect locale for both men and women in the Houston area looking to dramatically sculpt their bodies – without dramatic surgery.

Dr. Raul Rodriguez of LipBodySculpture of Houston and his expert staff who specialize in Smart Lipo, VASER Lipo, and mesotherapy are pleased to announce the opening of their doors at a new location – 546 Waugh Drive, Houston, Texas. Houston residents as well as out of town patients now have equal access to some of the country’s most advanced body fat sculpting services in a quaint and tranquil setting that will literally make one stop and take a deep, relaxing breath.

The expertise of Dr. Rodriguez and his staff combines over 20 years of surgical experience and the advanced laser lipolysis technologies of Smartlipo as well as VASER Lipo. While most people are familiar with traditional liposuction and tummy tucks, increasingly women and men are seeking less invasive alternatives to conventional body shaping techniques. Reasons most cited by patients selecting less invasive procedures include reduced downtime and less risk than conventional invasive procedures.

For example, traditional liposuction requires bulky tubes to suction away fat. The result is more pain, bruising, larger scars from incisions and a lengthy recovery period.

Smartlipo, known as laser lipolysis, laser liposuction and VASER Lipo, an innovative ultrasound technology, are two exceptional and popular alternatives to conventional liposuction – especially for those seeking a solution for troublesome fatty areas without a drastic interruption in their lifestyle.

VASER Lipo is more suitable for larger fatty areas. Ultrasonic energy targets fat tissue, emulsifies it, and through gentle suction and massage, the fat is removed from the body. Because the ultrasound is tissue selective, other tissue such as connective tissue, nerves, and veins are left intact.

Both Smartlipo and VASER Lipo are performed at Dr. Rodriguez’s new Houston clinic and do not require a general anesthetic such as used in conventional liposuction. This means a more rapid recovery without painful or potentially dangerous side effects associated with more invasive procedures.
Dr. Rodriguez is a member of The French Society of Mesotherapy and has over seven years of experience implementing the Mesotherapy procedure. He helped introduce the technique to the United State and was featured by Barbara Walters on ABC News 20/20 in 2003.

Breast Augmentation Overtakes Liposuction as Top Cosmetic Procedure for 2008

ASAPS, working with an independent research firm, compiled the 12-year national data for procedures performed 1997-2008. A paper-based questionnaire was mailed to 16,000 Board-Certified physicians (6,000 Dermatologists, 6,000 Otolaryngologists, and 4,000 Plastic Surgeons). A total of 894 completed and valid responses (461 Plastic Surgeons, 277 Dermatologists, and 156 Otolaryngologists) were received in time for tabulation.

Final figures have been projected to reflect nationwide statistics and are based exclusively on the Board-Certified Plastic Surgeons; Otolaryngologists; and Dermatologists. The findings have been aggregated and extrapolated to the known population of 23,600 physicians who are Board Certified in these specialties. Though the confidence intervals change by procedure, depending on the grouping’s sample size and the response variance, the overall survey portion of this research has a standard error of +/- 3.21% at a 95% level of confidence.

The top five surgical procedures in 2008:

  • Breast Augmentation
  • Liposuction
  • Eyelid Surgery
  • Rhinoplasty
  • Abdominoplasty

The top five non-surgical procedures in 2008:

  • Botox
  • Laser Hair Removal
  • Hyaluronic acid wrinkle fillers (Juvederm, Restylane)
  • Chemical Peel
  • Laser Skin Resurfacing
