Laser Liposuction Doctor Uses Zerona Laser Scanner to Successfully Remove Fat

Thomas E. Young, M.D.
Laser liposuction and SmartLipo expert, Dr. Thomas E. Young of Young Medical Spa, has had successful results using Zerona to remove fat.
The Zerona Erchonia Laser Scanner uses five low level lasers to painlessly liquefy the fat cells in the abdomen and thighs without making a single incision.
“It will pass through the skin and hit the fat cell…it makes the fat cell open up a little bit,” said Dr. Thomas E. Young. “That lets the fat out and the body takes that liquid fat that came out of the fat cell and clears it out.”
Since the laser just “opens up” cells, Dr. Young says patients must undergo a post-op regimen that includes vitamins, increased water consumption, cardio exercise and a reduced-fat diet to get the best results.

Dr. Young goes on to say that the procedure is only 80 percent effective. But Daneen Newsome is thrilled with her results. She went from a size 4 to a size 2 after undergoing the procedure.
“There is work on your end that you have to do, but if you do it, it’s well worth it,” Newsome said.
Still, not everyone is convinced. Dr. Eric Bernstein says he’s intrigued by the laser treatment, but that more research on their effectiveness needs to be done.
“I have yet to see a convincing peer reviewed controlled study demonstrating that it’s effective,” he said.
Zerona’s manufacturer says the treatment results in an average loss of 3.6 inches from the legs or buttocks. It costs about $2,500 for six sessions.
Thomas E. Young, MD is the owner and operator of Young Medical Spa located in the beautiful Saucon Valley area of the Lehigh Valley near Allentown Pennsylvania.

Ralph Lauren Model Filippa Fired For Being Too Fat
NEW YORK CITY, NY – After eight years working for top fashion designer, Ralph Lauren, model Filippa Hamilton was fired because her agent was informed that she could no longer fit into her employer’s clothes. If one would ask most people at random they would most likely not describe her as being “fat”, rather the word would more likely be “gorgeous.” Still, the 23 year old, 5-foot-10-inch, 120-pound Swedish model says that this was the reason why she was fired by Ralph Lauren.
See the video of Filippa Hamilton in an interview with Ann Curry:

Hamilton told Ann Curry, host of the TODAY show on Wednesday, Oct 14, 2009 in New York. According to a post on the MSNBC website, Hamilton stated, “They said I couldn’t fit in their clothes anymore.” Hamilton also said that Lauren wrote a letter to her agent with the following statement: “We’re terminating your services because you don’t fit into the sample clothes that you need to wear.”
Ralph Lauren denied that Hamilton’s termination was for being too large. In a statement to the media, the designer said that they considered Hamilton to be an important part of their imaging and branding and that they regretted that their relationship came to an end because of her inability to meet the obligations under her contract. Ralph Lauren’s full statement can be read online here.
In an interview with Ann Curry on the TODAY show, Hamilton said that she had been working for Ralph Lauren since she was 15 years old. “I did everything that I could,” she said, “I was very loyal to them. I was on time every time.”
Photoshop Disaster
News of her firing has now come on the heels of a Photoshopping controversy. Hamilton told Curry in the interview that she was fired by Ralph Lauren through a letter to her agency several months earlier in April, 2009.

Digitally altered image resulting in a distorted image of a woman's body
She said that she was not intending to go public with her complaint, but she changed her mind later when the Internet site BoingBoing.com announced that a Photoshopped image of her showed up in a mall in Japan.
The advertising image showed a painfully emaciated woman and was emblazoned with the Ralph Lauren name. Bloggers were quick to notice that Hamilton’s head was bigger than her hips in the badly distorted image.
In the MSNBC article, Hamilton’s attorney, Geoffrey Menin, remarked that the retouched image was “grotesque” and that it made her look “like a cartoon.” Menin emphasized that the distorted photo is damaging to Hamilton. “Who wants to hire somebody that looks like that?” he asked.
Ralph Lauren pulled the ad right away then made legal moves to demand that the images be taken off the Internet. In a statement about the matter by the Ralph Lauren company, there was a disclaimer: “We have learned that we are responsible for the poor imaging and retouching that resulted in a very distorted image of a woman’s body.”
Hamilton said that the distorted image motivated her to speak out publicly about the matter in spite of the disclaimer from Ralph Lauren.
Hamilton told Curry in the TODAY Show interview, “It’s not a good example when you see this picture.” She emphasized that young women would look at it and think that it’s normal to look like that. “It’s not,” she said. She said it made her sad when she saw her face on that “super-extremely skinny girl,” which wasn’t her. Remarking about Ralph Lauren wanting to have this kind of image, Hamilton said, “It’s an American brand … and it’s not healthy, and it’s not right.”

Oprah & Dr. Oz Sue Acai Berry for False Claims

Dr Mehmet Oz and Oprah Winfrey
According to the Wall Street Journal, Oprah Winfrey and Dr. Mehmet Oz are suing 30 companies, stating that these companies are selling products under false recommendations made by the talk show host and the Columbia University Medical Center doctor.
I’m sure many of you have received emails or have seen ads which state: “As seen on Oprah”.
I myself have seen products claiming weight loss, diet secrets, nutrition, anti aging, health and beauty enhancement just to name a few that use Oprah and Dr. Oz’s names to endorse their products allegedly without any permission.
One of the biggest false claims has been from Acai Berry.
Acai berry was marketed as the answer to weight loss, sexual dysfunction and even longer life. Whenever you add Oprah’s name to a product as an endorsement, it sells like wildfire. Customers are being duped because Oprah and Dr. Oz have no affiliation with these products, yet consumers are seeing Dr Oz’s face on these products.
Plaintiffs seek to stop the unauthorized and unlawful use of Dr. Oz’s and Ms. Winfrey’s names, pictures, voices and identities,” the lawsuit reads, according to The WSJ.
The lawsuit was filed in a U.S. District Court in New York City on Wednesday and claims these companies — selling dietary supplements, anti-wrinkle creams, tooth whitening and colon cleansers — were fabricating quotes from Winfrey and Dr. Oz, in addition to falsely endorsing in the voice of the TV personalities about the brands and products, The Wall Street Journal reports.
Dr. Oz was a popular guest on the Oprah show for many years and will be debuting his own program, called “The Dr. Oz Show,” on FOX, beginning on September 14.

Jessica Simpson Talks About Her Weight & Body Image

Matthias Vriens-McGrath/Glamour
Jessica Simpson speaks out about her weight and body image plus her recent breakup with Dallas quarterback Tony Romo in a recent Glamour magazine interview.
“It’s not fair that women look in the mirror and feel disgust because of what society has made them believe about beauty. I’ve been through it myself and understand the pressures. We’re all facing the same struggles together, whether you’re a celebrity or not.”
“When I was young, I would look at magazines and feel a lot of pressure. As a child of 12, I would write things in my journal like, ‘I’m lying here and all I can think about is that my stomach is hanging over my underwear.’ That disturbs me even today!”
While she was still with Tony Romo at the time of the interview and photo shoot, Jessica had a sense that a breakup was on the horizon. “If this article comes out and we’re not together, I’d still love [Tony], and he’d still be a huge part of who I am today,” Jessica told Glamour’s Laurie Sandell.
Jessica cherishes what Tony Romo told her when they were together. ‘Jessica, at the end of your life, the only thing that’s going to flash through your mind and heart is your husband, kids, family, and the people you love. You’re not going to think, I wish I’d done this with my career. And I’m not going to remember how many touchdown passes I threw or if I won the Super Bowl.’
Music is the heart of who I am, and it’s the most personal thing that I do,” Simpson admits.

Kelly Clarkson Talks About Being Overweight

Retouched photo of Kelly Clarkson on the September 2009 Issue of Self Magazine
It is obvious that Kelly Clarkson has gained a substantial amount of weight since her days on American Idol, but that doesn’t seem to bother Kelly.
Clarkson admits that she has never been concerned with her weight, but a recent cover photo of Kelly on the September issue of Self magazine has been retouched to make Clarkson appear thinner.
Kelly speaks out stating, “Of course celebrities have cellulite!.
“When people talk about my weight, I’m like, ‘You seem to have a problem with it; I don’t. I’m fine!’,” Clarkson tells the September issue of Self.
Kelly also says, “My happy weight changes. Sometimes I eat more; sometimes I play more.”
As part of Clarkson’s exercise routine she plays golf (“I love it!”) as well as Crossfit workouts. “It’s like bootcamp!”, she states.
“You never work out more than 35 minutes, but it’s so intense … It makes me feel like G.I. Jane. It’s very empowering. I feel like I can whup ass!”
When Kelly exercises, it isn’t to lose weight. “I do it totally for my psyche,” she says. “I’m much better when those endorphins are going. It’s a release. And I also love food, so there’s a payoff!”
In regards to Kelly’s diet, “I love healthy stuff and junk an equal amount,” she tells Self magazine.
“Whatever I’m craving, I go for it.”
“For me, it’s the times when I’m not paying attention that I end up losing weight. But I’m never trying to lose weight – or gain it. I’m just being!”

Did Kim Kardashian’s Sister Khloe Have Liposuction?
Khloe Kardashian has recently lost 20 pounds and looks fanatastic! However we are wondering did she have liposuction to help her along?
Khloe says that she lost the 20 pounds by doing cardio exercises at least 30 minute a day and by watching what she eats.
Khloe recently told Usmagazine.com, “I try to do just 30 minutes of cardio, mandatory.”
“I eat whatever I want until noon. Then from noon on, I watch what I eat.”
The Kardashian family which includes Kim Kim Kardashian and Bruce Jenner have been very open about their plastic surgery in the past, so liposuction or laser liposuction (laser lipo) wouldn’t be out of the question. It could very well be that Khloe’s weight loss may be a result of both exercise and liposuction.
New York plastic surgeon Dr. David Shafer says, “It is hard to tell if Khloe Kardashian has slimed down due to natural weight loss or to liposuction. However, in either case, she needs to maintain good nutrition and have an aggressive exercise regimen to keep from putting the weight back on.”

Smart Lipo – Using Laser Lipo For Fat Removal
A unique procedure called Smart Lipo, a brand name for laser lipo, is different when compared to other fat removal procedures on the market today. The procedure is actually very simple and uses state of the art laser technology. Smart Lipo, also known as laser lipo, liquefies fat deposits which are then removed through a tiny pin point incision made by the cosmetic surgeon. A local anesthetic is used in the area. Smart Lipo is an FDA approved procedure that resuts in minimal bruising or swelling.
The patient must be 18 years of age or older and in good health in order to have the procedure. This type of procedure is not recommended for patients that are twenty five pounds or more over their ideal BMI (body mass index). Smart Lipo is aimed at people who have tried every diet under the sun, have exercised till they have dropped and still find it hard to reduce fat on those stubborn areas. Does this sound like you? If so then this procedure is perfect for you. Afterwards, it is recommended that you enhance the results by continuing your diet and exercise routine.
So where do you start? The answer is to visit GetMeso.com, a Smart Lipo doctor and information site where one can search for laser lipo information and doctors. Here you can visit the doctor profile pages which link to their websites. After you find your nearest doctor, the next step is to set up a consultation. The consultation will give you the chance to find out exactly how you can be helped and will give you the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have about the procedure.
After the procedure, you will usually wait one or two days before you can go back to living your life normally. Depending on your doctor’s instructions, the bandages only have to be kept on for a week or two. You will also find that your skin begins to tighten around the areas that are treated (usually 6 weeks after treatment) unlike traditional liposuction where your skin can remain lax due to large volumes of fat being sucked out. With Smart Lipo this does not happen, because when liquidizing the fatty deposits the laser promotes the skin to repair itself, thus making the skin tighter.
Smartlipo costs are very competitive and average from around $2,000 for small areas to around $5,000 for larger areas. Combinations of areas are usually calculated at a slight discount. Compared to liposuction, Smart Lipo prices are generally thirty percent less than traditional liposuction and in some cases the results may be better.
Lipodissolve – An Alternative to Liposuction
Many patients are turning to lipodissolve as an alternative to liposuction and other cosmetic surgery procedures. Lipodissolve as a fat removal treatment can accomplish something that many people have been trying to do for years. Women and men all over the world look into the mirror each day and wish they had some “magical” way to solve their weight issues. Lipodissolve has been compared to other successful treatments on the market but this particular treatment when administered properly, has been shown to have a higher success rate where results can last longer. The treatment involves a series of injections to the problem area to remove fat deposits. Most people when they wish to lose weight “magically” go to their cosmetic surgeon for liposuction, excess skin reductions, gastric bands etc. These types of treatments are invasive and require general anesthesia, which can pose a high risk for the patient. Lipodissolve may be the answer for some who do not wish to undergo surgery. The process is simple and quick to perform. You can be in and out during your lunch break at work! Imagine being able to drop a dress size over a very short amount of time, and all in your lunch hour! What an amazing thought! LipoDissolve seems to have achieved these results for many who have received this treatment.
For best results the treatment is usually completed in stages. Treatments are often spaced out over a period of time, with each treatment being given every 2 weeks. The treatments can be helpful if you have problems with your arms, legs, bottom, stomach and love handles. You may experience some slight bruising after each treatment but this is normal and is usually not a problem as these will fade over time. The amount of inches you lose in the treated areas differs from person to person but the results can be quite dramatic.
Lipodissolve compared to other similar treatments on the market is very competitive in cost. Each person who undergoes the treatment receives a personalized plan created for them by their doctor or specialist. The average price is approximately ½ the cost of liposuction and, like other cosmetic procedures, many doctors and specialists will offer credit options to help pay for your treatments.
Many lipo dissolve specialists are so confident of their results that some will actually offer a thirty day, money back guarantee if you do not see any results (measurable ones) after the full amount of treatments have been given. Again, this depends on the doctor or clinic offering the procedure.
Always consult with a lipodissolve doctor or expert before undergoing this procedure. It is important that you know all you know risks and side effects before undergoing any lipodissolve treatement.
