Six Easy Ways To Stay On Your Cellulite Reduction Program During The Holidays

By Renee Feldman

Cellulite is fat that is caught between bands of connective tissue. It creates an unattractive bumpy appearance on the skin and tends to accumulate mostly on the hips, thighs and buttocks. The holidays present a problem for many people trying to get rid of cellulite due to all the parties and extra social activities. However, it is definitely possible to get on and stay on a cellulite reduction by following these six easy tips.

1) Cardiovascular Exercise: Cellulite is composed of fat. If you reduce the amount of body fat that you have then you will minimize the amount of cellulite that you have. Cardiovascular exercise is a great way to burn fat. Many people don't realize that small bouts of cardiovascular exercise will help you to burn fat. Three 10 minute bouts of exercise done through out the day will help you to burn fat. You must be exercising at an intensity that will have you breathless if you try to sing but with enough air to talk (this is the talk test for exercise).

2) Re-define Exercise: Cardiovascular exercise does not have to be done in a formal setting. You don't have to be on a treadmill or in an aerobics class to get your cardio in. How about coming home from work and putting your favorite holiday music on and dancing around your home for a fun fat burning workout? Try getting up while watching TV during a commercial break and do some leg kicks, jumping jacks and skipping in place. It all adds up to fat and cellulite burning efficiency.

3) Don't Blow Your Diet: Have a plan to keep you from straying too far away from your healthy eating plan. It's inevitable that there will be lots of tempting food around. Try to budget for some of this tempting food by filling up on fresh fruit like apples and pears and crunchy vegetables like carrots, celery and broccoli. These fruits and vegetables are full of fiber and will make you feel full. They are also low in calories which will leave room for a cookie or treat. The trick is to stop at one.

4) Have A Goal: Choose a holiday outfit that you just about fit into. Keep in mind that if you completely blow your cellulite diet and exercise program that you won't be able to wear the great attire that you picked out.

5) Get A Cellulite Treatment As A Gift: There are many treatments that help to reduce the appearance of cellulite. Some are very expensive and some are reasonable in price. Velasmooth is the "crown jewel" of treatment options. It is FDA approved to work but it is pricey. Body wraps can make your skin look much better and be a great post holiday pick me up.

6) Stay Hydrated: Be sure to keep yourself hydrated by drinking lots of water. We sometimes confuse hunger with thirst and overeat salty foods. Also,if you substitute water for soda and other caloric fluids, you'll save yourself some calories. In addition, the condition of your skin and cellulite changes with how well your body is hydrated, so drink up.

You can have a happy and fulfilling holiday season and still keep cellulite away! Don't give up on having the body of your dreams.
