Dr. Sharma is a board certified general surgeon and a specialist in the treatment of peripheral vascular disease. He has been treating patients with problems related to blood circulation since 1994. Dr. Sharma received his training in General Surgery from Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center, affiliated to Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Upon completion, he continued his training under the world-famous Dr. Edward B. Diethrich at the Arizona Heart Institute. Dr. Sharma is also a specialist in Phelebology (treatment of vericose veins). He utilizes state-of-the-art lasers and does this in his office. He has performed hundreds of EVLT procedures with excellent results.
With his vast experience in multiple specialties in surgery, Dr. Sharma now performs cosmetic procedures in his office under tumescent anesthesia. His knowledge and skill in other surgical specialties has been an asset when performing cosmetic procedures such as liposuction and Smart Lipo. Dr. Sharma received his hands-on training under the top cosmetic surgeons in the U.S. and abroad. And since then has performed liposuction procedures with excellent results. Dr. Sharma holds active staff privileges at Thunderbird Samaritan Hospital in Glendale, Arizona, and Sunhealth Boswell Hospital Center in Sun City, Arizona, where he actively performs vascular surgeries.
Since 2005, Dr. Sharma has been the Medical Director of Arizona Vein and Laser Institute & Cosmetic Surgery. The center was recently selected by Cynosure to train other physicians in the Smartlipo procedure.
